22 Segment reporting
Segment information is presented in respect of the Group’s business under management approach with
primary format, business segments, is based on the Group’s management and internal reporting
structure.
The Group comprises the following main business segments:
Segment 1
Electricity Generating
Segment 2
Operation and Maintenance
Segment 3
Others
Other operations in 2013 or 2012 none of these segments meets the quantitative thresholds for
determining reportable segments.
Information regarding the results of each reportable segment is included below. Performance is
measured based on segment profit before tax, as included in the internal management reports that are
reviewed by the Group’s/Company’s the chief operating decision maker. Segment profit before tax is
used to measure performance as management believes that such information is the most relevant in
evaluating the results of certain segments relative to other entities that operate within these industries.
